Abel Lee Williams, age 91, of Magnolia, AR, died Saturday, September 2, 2017, at his home. Born October 3, 1925 in Mount Holly, AR, he was the son of the late James and the late Bertha Williams of Mt. Holly, AR.
He was married to the late Darleane McDaniel Williams. He was a faithful and devoted member of Hosanna Baptist Church, Village, AR, where he served as a Deacon and a church trustee. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Abel was employed by General Motors in Detroit, MI. He retired from the Cadillac Motor Division in 1987 after 34 years of service. Upon retirement, he returned home to Village, AR, where he could quietly pursue his love of fishing, and hunting. Abe was also a skilled carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertha & James Williams; his wife Darleane Williams, his brothers, Murry L. Williams and Paul E. Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Paul E. (Deborah) Williams, Melita Taylor, Barbara George, Jacqueline Smith, and Alita Washington; one sister, Alberteen Lewis; three sisters-in-law, Trudell Williams, Byreather Parker, Florine Sargent; one brother-in-law, L.S. McDaniel, a devoted nephew and niece, Johnny Ray McDaniel and Shirley McDaniel, seven granchildren: Melody Hall (Bashinne), Brandi George, Allison George, Antonio Carroll (Whitney), Shannon Carroll, Lynita Morrow, Christopher Abel Washington and five great-granchildren.
