Obituary of Luther Murphy

Luther Murphy, Sr, age 78, of McNeil died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at home in McNeil. Mr. Murphy was born May 4, 1939 in Emerson, AR. He is the son of the late John and the late Viola (Moore) Murphy. He married Eunice Marie Nelson on June 19, 1973. He was predeceased by his wife, Eunice Marie Nelson on 3/18/2017, and by his brother, Joseph Murphy. He is survived by three sons: Luther R. (Gayla) Murphy, Jr. of Lake Jackson, TX, Mark (Katherine) Hall, Sr. of Hartshorne, OK and Pernell Roberts of GA,; one daughter: Felicia K. (Ricky) Walker of Waldo, AR; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jacob Murphy and Milton (Lovera) Murphy, and two sisters: Bessie Cruse and Sophia Steppes. The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 2 at A.C. Henderson Memorial Chapel, 614 Calhoun Rd., Magnolia, AR.
