Pastor Warren was always a sweet person. I remember him being a pastor when I was a little girl until now. Pastor Warren was an excellent bible teacher, and preacher. Pastor Warren was a very humble man, at times people would say offensive things to him, sometimes disrespectfully but he never changed in how he treated them. I recall seeing him go through some tough times in his life, yet he stood, and he stood with a smile on his face. Later I learned that he was actually funny and had a great sense of humor. To lose him is hard, but to know that he is with Jesus is a great feeling. Blessed are they that die in the Lord, and I truly believe that he did.
I share your grief. We all grew up together in Calhoun Heights, playing together, attending church together, witnessing and celebrating all the milestones in your lives; marriage, call to the ministry, completing his education. and the birth of your children. We know that God knows best and that we also know that His will is going to be done. Dean, I pray for your strength and I know you did all you could do, with God's help, to make his last days his better days. Keep looking to the hills from whence cometh your help. You know from whence cometh your help. Lots of love, a very dear friend.
