Obituary of James L Washington, Jr.

James L. Washington, age 59, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at a friend's home in Texarkana, TX.  He was born October 3, 1963 in Magnolia, AR, to James and Bernice Wyrick Washington.

He was a graduate of  Garland City High School.  He joined Landsport Baptist Church at an early age and he loved visiting other churches as well.

James, lovingly known as "Hey Now" never met a stranger.  All that came in contact with him loved him.  He loved exercising even if it was just getting from state to state and  was funny and fun loving.  He worked as a security guard and also volunteered his time by hanging out at a local store.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and James Washington, brothers Jimmie Washington, Roy Dale Washington, Joe Day Washington and his son, Robert Dewayne Miller.

He leaves to cherish his memories, four grandchildren:  Rihanna Bernice Miller, Shaniya Miller, Journee Miller, and Mattie Miller, all of Texarkana, TX;  two brothers: Earnest Dale Lewis of Lima, OH and Henry D. Washington of Monroe, LA, one sister: Easter White (Michael) of Garland, TX, and a host of other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
