Obituary of Aaron Henderson
Mr. Aaron C. "A.C." Henderson, 89, founder and president of Henderson's Mortuary, Inc., died Thursday, October 30, 2008 in the Medical Center of South Arkansas, after a brief illness. Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, and two brothers.
Born May 29, 1919, in Lillie (Union Parish) Louisiana. Aaron was the sixth of ten children born to Lonnie and Elizabeth Thornton Henderson. After graduating Smith High School in Norphlet, Arkansas, Aaron enlisted in the Army and served his country proudly and bravely in WWII. Upon returning home, Aaron took the first steps toward his dream of owning his own business while serving his community and others. He moved to Ohio and attended the prestigious Cincinnati College of Embalming.
In addition to Henderson's Mortuary, Aaron, and his wife, partner, and soul mate of 59 years, Gertrude Towns Henderson, started and ran several successful business ventures in the Magnolia, AR community.
Cherishing every moment of their time together, A.C. leaves his wife, Gertrude Towns Henderson, his sister, Susie Henderson, his godson, Jeffrey Flanigan and family, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues, and friends.
