Obituary of Bettye Jean Ferguson

Bettye Jean Ferguson, age 69, of 1017 Lake Drive, Haynesville, LA died Friday, March 1, 2013 at Claiborne Manor of Homer, LA. Mrs. Ferguson was born July 19, 1943 in Emerson, AR. She is the daughter of the late Earnest and the late Bessie M. (Edwards) Jones. She married Eugene Ferguson on August 21, 1963 at Dallas, TX. She was a beloved Librarian/Substitute Teacher, and devoted wife and mother of three. She was predeceased by her sister, Franceil Jones Hall. Precious memories of her life are cherished by her husband: Eugene Ferguson, three sons: Alton Ferguson and Roderick Ferguson of Dallas, TX, and Anthony Keith Ferguson of Haynesville, LA; two brothers: James Jones and Roy C. Jones of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren: Alton Jr. Ferguson, Xavier Ferguson, Skylar Ferguson, Chris Dial, and Ira Cooks; two great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Linda Ferguson Jackson of Magnolia, AR, and Patsy Taylor of Dallas, TX; a very special cousin/sister, Diane Fields of Emerson, AR, and a great host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Calling hours will be at Henderson's Mortuary, 614 Calhoun Rd, Magnolia, AR from noon until 5 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 9, 2013, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Glover Memorial COGIC church, Hwy 79, Emerson, AR. Burial will follow in Ward Chapel Cemetery, Haynesville, LA, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.
