Obituary of Ruby Lee George

Mrs. Ruby Lee George, age 90, of , Haynesville, LA died Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Willis-Knighton Medical Center of Shreveport, LA. Mrs. George was born August 22, 1922 in Haynesville, LA. She is the daughter of the late Floyd and the late Louise (Fuller) Carter. She married Elmer "Bennon" George. She was homemaker, dedicated to her family. Mother George was preceded in death by her husband, the late Elmer "Bennon" George and two sons, Arthur "Doc" George and Edward "Sonny" George. Left to cherish her memory are her son Willie Clyde George, of Haynesville, LA; four daughters, Katherine Mitchell of Los Angeles, CA, Joyce Major, Haynesville, LA, Patricia Jackson, Shreveport, LA, and Elouise Hayes of Galveston, TX; one brother, Bobby Carter of Denver, CO, fourteen grandchildren, twenty- seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great- grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church, 1936 Friendship Dr., Haynesville, LA, with burial to follow in the Friendship Cemetery, Haynesville on Saturday, June 1, 2013, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service. Visitation will be at the funeral home, 614 Calhoun Rd, Magnolia, AR from 12 noon until 5 p.m. on Friday, May 31, and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. There will be no further viewing after the service has begun.
