Obituary of Dossie M Ward

Mrs. Dossie M. Ward, age 90, of 7451 Hwy 79 S, Emerson, died Monday, May 5, 2014 at Wadley Regional Medical Center at Texarkana, TX . Mrs. Ward was born July 17, 1923 in Haynesville, LA. She is the daughter of the late Alfred and the late Pearlie M. (Welch) Frazier. She married Frankie Ward. She is survived by her husband, five daughters: Bernice Hooks, North Little Rock, Mae Moore, Alexandria, LA, Sue Jermany, Gloria Ward, and Margie Williams of Emerson, and four sons: Bobby Ward, Arlington, TX, Mitch Ward, Manhattan Beach, CA, Ricky Ward, Clarksville, AR, and David Ward, Dallas, TX; three sisters: Mary Mustins and Vera Gibson, both of California, and Virdie Kennedy, Ruston, LA and one brother: Alfred Frazier, Ft. Worth, TX, ten grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Sweethome Baptist Church, Emerson on Saturday, May 10 at 11:00 am, with eulogist, Rev. Ronnie Atkins. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery, Emerson, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.
