Obituary of Ivory Wheeler-Curry

Ivory Lee Wheeler Curry was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Baptist Health Medical Center of Little Rock, AR. She was born June 27, 1946 in Emerson, AR. She is the daughter of the late Theodis Wheeler and the late Realda Thomas. She confessed Christ at an early age and later became a faithful member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. She was active in the choir and Circle Deborah Mission group and taught Sunday School for as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Lizzie Wheeler, Ollie Wheeler and Arvester Dixon, and one brother, John Otis Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memory her ex-husband and good friend, James Curry, and five children, Sheila Edwards (Douglas), Haynesville, LA, Rev. Demetris Donnell Ford (LaTanya), Magnolia, Regina Ford of McNeil, Yolonda Curry Reed (Jesse), and Justina Curry Davis (Steven) both of Magnolia, twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, July 5 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 900 S Washington, Magnolia, AR with Pastor Bobby J Harris officiating. Viewing will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Emerson, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.
