Obituary of Leona Hildreth

Leona Hildreth, 93, was born in Columbia County on October 15, 1920. She is the daughter of the late Nelson and the late Louella (Howard) Green. She departed this life on July 9, 2014, at Magnolia Wentworth Nursing Home, where she had lived since March 8, 2008. She united in holy matrimony to M. Beal, at an early age. He preceded her in death. In 1965, she married Cleo Hildreth, and was a dedicated and loving wife until his death. A son was adopted during this marriage. Sister Leona was a devoted member of the St. Luke Baptist Church, until her health failed and she could no longer attend. In addition to her parents, and both husbands, she was also preceded in death by six of her siblings; three sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her son, Charles (Tracy) Hildreth, of Texarkana, AR, one grandson, Timothy Hildreth, of Magnolia, one granddaughter, Latoya Holmes of Dallas, TX, one niece raised in her home, Toccara Snell, of Magnolia, a sister, Rosie (Eddie) Beal of Magnolia, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be from noon until 4 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday, July 18, 2014. Funeral will commence at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the A. C. Henderson Memorial Chapel, 614 Calhoun Rd., Magnolia. Burial will follow in West Cemetery, Col Rd 30, Magnolia, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.
