Obituary of Gracie Brewer

Gracie Brewer, age 79, of #38 Warnock Springs Rd, Magnolia, died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Wentworth Place of Magnolia, AR.  Mrs. Brewer was born July 19, 1938 in Magnolia, AR. She is the daughter of the late Jodie and the late Odie Mae (Phillips) Evans.  She was married to Marvin Ross and later to Lonnell Brewer.  She was predeceased by both husbands.

Gracie had a zest for life that was infectious.  Her generous and giving spirit made her favored among family and friends alike.  She was always willing to help out, whatever it took, often going far above and beyond what was asked of her. She will be sorely missed by all. She adored her family, lovingly entering each new birth or life event into her family bible.

Gracie was predeceased by her sisters, Irene, Ruby, and Ninnie Evans, and brothers Bennie, Jodie and John David Evans.

She is survived by six sons: Robert Ross, Calvin (Sheila) Daniels, Elvis Parker, Marvin Ross, Phillip (Jennifer) Ross and Blane Ross, all of Portland, OR; three daughters: Regina Bell of Portland, OR, Pinkie Mitchell of Mesquite, TX and Omae Gordon of Magnolia, AR; one brother: Larry (Stacy) Evans of Magnolia, AR; two sisters: Vertis Strawder of Portland, AR, Betty Johnson of Magnolia, AR and a great host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 6 at A.C. Henderson Memorial Chapel, 614 Calhoun Rd., Magnolia, AR with Pastor Bobby J Harris officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.
