Obituary of Jeffrey Lynn Taylor

Jeffrey Lynn Taylor, beloved son of the late Flossie Biddle Thomas and the late  Ray Taylor, departed this life on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Magnolia, AR.  Born in Haynesville, LA on April 3, 1949, Jeffrey was the eldest of nine children in the household of his mother and his stepdad, the late Paul Thomas.

After graduating McMittress High School, Jeffrey looked forward to a bright future.  He enrolled in and began attendance in a local VoTech school but was called away by the draft to serve his country in the Vietnam Era.  He served honorably from 1969 until 1971 when he medically retired.

Jeffrey was a loving, attentive and caring big brother and will be sorely missed by his siblings: Edward Taylor of Detroit, MI, James (Maria)  Thomas and Demetrius (Mary) Thomas, all of Clarksville, TN, Bernard Thomas of Magnolia, Donald Thomas of Emerson, Frederick (Sarah) Thomas of Seattle, WA, Jocelyn Green of Kansas City, KS, and Jacqueline King of Lawton, OK; three aunts: Geneva Walker of Las Vegas, NV, Dorothy Thomas of Evansville, IN, Irissie Thomas  of Cullen, LA, and a great host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jeffrey will be laid to rest with military honors in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at North Little Rock, AR, on Friday, June 14, 2019, at 1:00 p.m.
