Mrs. Joe Ann Harris, 84, of Magnolia, died Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at the Greenhouse Cottages of Wentworth Place, Magnolia, Arkansas. Born in Magnolia on December 16, 1936, Joe Ann was the daughter of Isaiah Grissom and Alvie Daniels Grissom. She married Travis Harris.
She was a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully in the choir until her health failed. She spoke her truth, without reservation. She never hesitated to tell you what she thought, so if you asked for her opinion, you needed to be prepared to hear it!
Joe Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one of her sons, Timothy Harris.
She leaves precious memories of their time together with her two sons: Tony Harris and Travis Dale Harris, three daughters: Patty Mae Lewis, Peggy (Charles) Brown, and Demetris (James) Talley, all of Magnolia, twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, and one brother, Ernest Grissom of Muskegon, MI.
Due to the constraints of Covid-19, a Graveside Service honoring her life will be held at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2020, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service. Online guestbook available at www.hendersonsmortuary.com.
